COOL STUFF ON THE NET!! FOR YOU!!!
Some of my favourite pages, all to help you explore the weird wide web, baby! From resources to games, I've got it all.Peruse the wares... if you dares..
Resources etc:
☆ THE TRANS AGENDA (FREE) Substack of Lee Hurley, a trans journalist from Belfast. Lee regularly updates his Substack and Bluesky account with UK & Irish trans news.Unfortunately, masculinising DIY vendors can be hard to pin down (that is to say they absolutely do exist but not in the same spot for long) and many directories like this do not have up-to-date information for FTMs. If I find one, I'll link it immediately! Otherwise, I recommend seeking out the DIY HRT Discord server or consulting your local trans community, if you have one. They'll know a guy who knows a guy who knows the sites.
☆ DIY HRT DIRECTORY Info for both MTFs and FTMs on accessing DIY, dosages, injection supplies, etc.
☆ FTMSURGERY.NET & MTFSURGERY.NET
Pretty much what they say on the tin! Sites all about masculinising and feminising TS surgery. Info on different surgeries, guides, how to choose a surgeon*, how to pay for surgery*, blogs and articles on peoples' experiences, as well as the history behind surgeries.
*USA centric information (unforch).
Cool personal sites & webrings:
☆ POPPY Z BRITE The official website of FTM transgender author Billy Martin, AKA Poppy Z Brite. He wrote some of me and my partner's favourite horror novels! His website is very cool :) I highly recommend Exquisite Corpse, Drawing Blood, and Lost Souls. Lost Souls is a good one to start with if you're interested.
☆ YESTERLINKS DIRECTORY A collection of entertaining and useful web links: "Remember when the internet felt exciting and mysterious?"
☆ DYKEWRITE Revival of the original, old web DykeWrite (2002-2004).
A webring for Dyke webmasters and authors of all sorts: "DykeWrite is a site and webring devoted to dyke issues, culture, and community." Check that shit out!
☆ ILOVEBEINGTRANS Personal site of Bugless. Contains useful trans links and a lot of fun stuff.
☆ THE VAMPIRE CLUB Webring for vampire fans. Hosts member-written articles and stories, 'vampire of the month', poetry, news, etc.
☆ CHAINSAWED Personal site of artist chainsawEd.
Reading:
☆ Z-LIBRARY Free access to a hell of a lot of EPUBs and PDFs.
☆ FEMINIST QUEER CRIP A feminist/queer/disablity studies book by Alison Kafer. I bought this book to help with a queer essay for a disability studies class a number of years ago, because Kefer talks about the degendering of disabled people (& the trans bathroom debate). It's a good read!
The PDF I've linked to has the pages scanned sideways, but you can rotate them easy peasy with the button in the top bar.
☆ 'I Sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter' A short story by Isabel Fall about a helicopter pilot named Barb. Barb has undergone "tactical role gender reassignment" and has been given the gender identity of an attack helicopter in order to serve the US govt. This is an amazing story about gender dysphoria, the performance of gender, and imperialism. Unfortunately Isabel received unbelievable amounts of backlash for it, to the point where it essentially ruined her life and she withdrew any upcoming publications. Originally published in 2020, the story was taken down by the publisher at Isabel's request. I've linked to an archived version. Give it a read if you're interested.
☆ ALL TOMORROWS Speculative evolution sci-fi work by C.M. Kösemen. Follows human evolution (and aliens that interfere with it) over the course of billions of years, written kind of like an evolution textbook with a linear story. Contains some body horror. 'Man After Man' by Dougal Dixon is a really similar work that a lot of fans of All Tomorrows really like, but it didn't click with me as much lol.
