Some useful resources:
☆ DIY HRT DIRECTORY Info on masculinizing & feminizing HRT; Details side effects, sourcing T & E, blood tests, levels, etc. Contains informational videos & extensive text. Directs to GenderGP (UK) and Planned Parenthood (US) as DIY alternatives. UPDATE 03/24: Due to decline in GGP quality of care I've linked other UK services below.
☆ GENDERCARE (UK BASED) and GENDER PLUS (IRE BASED) Private hormone clinics/gender specialists. Gendercare operate from London AFAIK, and Gender Plus operate from Dublin. Gender Plus take transfers from other services such as GenderGP. I haven't used either of these services myself, but I have two friends on HRT via Gendercare. I will be switching to Gender Plus following some more research.
☆ QUEER/GENDER STUDIES FOLDER Tumblr user [transsexual-menace]'s queer/gender studies folder; Includes old crossdressing guides, transsexual field guides, queer zines, gender theory texts, historical texts on the aids crisis, and more.
☆ LIST OF INFORMED CONSENT CLINICS (USA) A list of all informed consent clinics (for HRT!) in the United States, compiled by ErinInTheMorning.
☆ USA ANTI-TRANS BILLS TRACKER A website that tracks all of the passed, active, and failed anti-trans bills in the United States this year (2023). Allows you to look at certain states.
☆ GENDERDYSPHORIA.FYI Gender dysphoria bible
Reading:
☆ FEMINIST QUEER CRIP A feminist/queer/disablity studies book by Alison Kafer. I bought this book to help with a queer essay for a disability studies class, because Kefer talks about the degendering of disabled people (& the trans bathroom debate). It's a good read!
The PDF I've linked to has the pages scanned sideways, but you can rotate them easy peasy with the button in the top bar.
☆ 'I Sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter' A short story by Isabel Fall about a helicopter pilot named Barb. Barb has undergone "tactical role gender reassignment" and has been given the gender identity of an attack helicopter in order to serve the US govt. This is an amazing story about gender dysphoria, the performance of gender, and imperialism. Unfortunately Isabel received unbelievable amounts of backlash for it, to the point where it essentially ruined her life and she withdrew any upcoming publications. Originally published in 2020, the story was taken down by the publisher at Isabel's request. I've linked to an archived version. Give it a read if you're interested.
